Statistically speaking most remixes are off the mark. But some are great. Some of them are even better than the original.
Thought of this question while listening to the Captain Cuts remix of Colours by Grouplove: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=38OShWVtztM
Some other remixes I can think of are…
Junkie XL’s remix of Elvis’ A Little Less Conversation is a certified SSS-tier banger: https://youtube.com/watch?v=Zx1_6F-nCaw
I really really like Linkin Park’s album Reanimation, which is a remix album of Hybrid Theory. It tones down the rock and amps up the rap and electronic elements which I really liked. Not every track has more rap and those tracks are great as well. It is well produced and sounds great: https://youtube.com/watch?v=oCgqH3FxA1o
There’s Snoop Dogg/Fredwreck remix of Riders of the Storm which I think is alright but at least its very popular (and was in a Need for Speed game): https://youtube.com/watch?v=ubWL8VAPoYw
That’s all I have.
Do you know about Nightcore?
Nope
It is when they make songs faster and sometimes they add beats. It was popular in the 2010s. https://m.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLQOKal-fB_F8nn9aJCLDvfdBim_nJ6GFq
Thanks. I’ll try it out.
A song condemning likeable pop music given a bombastic electronic drum track. Pretty Songs by Bob Vylan (Tokky Horror Remix)

A cover rather than a remix but it’s my favorite cover Terrible Lie by Thou & The Body of all time. Both bands appear left
