Statistically speaking most remixes are off the mark. But some are great. Some of them are even better than the original.

I really really like Linkin Park’s album Reanimation, which is a remix album of Hybrid Theory. It tones down the rock and amps up the rap and electronic elements which I really liked. There’s Snoop Dogg/Fredwreck remix of Riders of the Storm which I think is alright but at least its very popular (and was in a Need for Speed game): https://youtube.com/watch?v=ubWL8VAPoYw
