    This centre is massive! If they wanted a smaller center I’d bet it wouldn’t be as objected

    And, Scotland regularly curtails it’s wind production. Scotland hosting these centers makes sense. But, nobody wants this next to where they live, I totally am a NIMBY wrt this too

      By being ridiculous they can now be seen to be “reasonable” and “compromise” by proposing a slightly smaller footprint.

      A footprint that if they’d proposed originally would still likely have garnered objections but using this tactic could result in objection depleting because the less radically minded will think a fair compromise has been reached.

      They’re evil, but they’re not daft.

        That’s how things might have worked 2 years ago. At this point hardball tactics like this are only going to backfire.
