It would actually be pretty cool to find a cache of adult mags as a lot of them aren’t available anymore. I kind of want to buy a bunch and scan them online for people to see

My dad owned almost every single Playboy from 196-something to their move to all-digital in 2016. He told me that he kept them in their original mailing sleeves as an investment for me to sell and learn about the value of collections.

When he died and I inherited them, I found out that he’d opened every single one. And the collection was missing the only issue I cared about, which had an interview with one of my childhood heroes. I organized this collection as best I could, and ended up completely filling 9 banker boxes with a little overflow into a 10th box that also held random other nudie mags. The copies of issues with potential value had water damage and rusty staples from an old house flood.

I tried everything I could think of to sell these magazines, and eventually ended up with all the boxes in the trunk of my car as I drove around to various adult stores, asking if they’d purchase them. Eventually, I took all of them to a non-profit that takes media donations, sells them, and then gives the profits to the public library system.

The world is saturated with people trying to sell these magazines for cheap, and I’m sure you could make your dream come true on a very reasonable budget.

      There are tons on archive.org!

All kinds of old magazines, of course, not just nudie ones. But probably thousands of nudie ones.

      Here’s a collection of 3,500, for example.

As someone who loves looking at old magazines, though, I’m not trying to dissuade you from scanning them.

If your in or near Ohio, i know of a local “antique” store (more like a flea market) with a booth selling several boxes full of old playboys.

My local antiques mall (where each booth is a different vendor) usually has some old playboys. I’ve just been too embarrassed to buy them.

Providing pornography to young children is so wholesome. Yup. Just fine.

EDIT: At least in my state, this is considered sexual abuse of a minor.

It’s not considered anything actually, because it’s not real. This a fictional comic and for that matter, ouija boards don’t actually let you talk to dead people…

The magazine titles suggest nudes only, not full on sex scenes. Learning about what bodies look like can be a healthy part of childhood.

I mean, having “dark” twists is pretty normal for this comic, what gave you the impression it was intended to be wholesome?
