ICE is fundamentally broken and cannot be fixed. For the U.S. government to have an immigration enforcement system that complies with international human rights law and standards, ICE needs to be abolished and we need to start over.

We need to target our oligarchs and end Citizens United and attack wealth inequality. Then work down the line of human rights, including abolishing ICE.

Because strongly worded letters from a humanitarian organization are absolutely going to change Trump’s mind.
Amnesty has done amazing work historically, which were used as evidence in international criminal cases. And helped guide other countries foreign policies.
If one (or, hopefully many) other country views this report and decides to issue sanctions against the US for human rights violations, it’s a very useful report.
