Different eras present different struggles and priviliges. Comparing the struggles of one era to another and therefore dimissing that even now people are struggeling is uncool. Dangerous even.
Uncool? Dangerous??
Naw, I look back at how the people’s of the past as a source of hope. I see their plights and how mine often feel trivially in comparison, and I examine what caused the problems to become lessened.
Our predecessors did away with Monarchy, they showed us the power of organized peasantry, they found knowledge and developed technology and they built a better world.
All that is to say, things were worse, but then they got better and that means that we can do the same.
Start by getting organized (in real life, with real people, etc)
