Why aren’t grenades designed like these anymore? They have some definite advantages over what is commonly used today and they seem pretty practical in terms of ergonomics.

for real, part of it is the fact it wont roll, and the number of grenades you could carry was lower and they were clunky to carry.
The handle takes a lot of room. Shipping to carrying, if you had to carry 3 of those into battle it become a burden. Better off using one of those tennis ball throwers to get better range.
These days grenades just fly at whoever you want and armies post the death footage on social media but sure, unga bunga your dumb little piece of wood I guess
