China under his leadership has been described as a totalitarian regime which resulted in tens of millions of deaths, mainly through famine, as well as political persecution, prison labor, and executions. He is credited with transforming China from a semi-colony into a major world power and promoting literacy, women’s rights, basic healthcare, education, and an increased life expectancy. He is recognized for his role in ending imperialism and consolidating the Chinese state. Under Mao the PRC replaced the Republic of China as a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, and became the fifth state to possess nuclear weapons.

How horrifying. The famine claim is also rather bogus as, while the famine may have been exacerbated by some incompetent policies, China had a long history of famines that came prior and ended with the Great Famine, which wasn’t too much bigger than the prior famines. In the United States, only the mainstream media is stated to be “reliable”, said media being owned by the bourgeois apparatus, and filtered and censored through their interests. Japan is also under a sorta de-facto one-party-state(meak opposition parties sometimes take power but they’ve only done so a small few times) with the leading party holding fascistic views of re-militarization and genocide denial. Oppression means systemic poverty and being murdered by police.
To be entire honest I have no idea why I wrote a block of text responding to a 9 year old Quora comment, I just gave into the urge idk. I don’t even know who this guy is but by the post title, it sounds like he’s got a history of this.
