How is that different from other modern cars? Tesla cars do the same thing. And they send the videos to their headquarters, if I’m not mistaken.

Most modern cars, especially EVs have loads of surveillance tech for dashcam use in case of accidents, vandalism, or theft. Or even to watch the driver’s face and detect if they’re still awake or tired, sober, etc.

Are they targeting China specifically because China?

    Edit: speaking of which:

Everything on Lemmy is propaganda. China bad, Russia good, east and west. It’s all the same shit and all the same rulers in this global cage fight. You’re absolutely right Tesla cars would have this. Waymo too, and we all know THEY look at the footage lol

Right, it should be possible for an individual to recognize, and a society to learn from, the success of directed economies in areas like sustainable development while at the same time being critical of authoritarianism and violation of human rights.

Those who demonstrate an inability to do so have relinquished, or been robbed of, a fundamental aspect of human cognition often called “critical thinking” (批判性思考, 비판적 사유, критическое мышление).
