The wrong kind of person getting Fuck You money

I think its a mix of nature and nurture. By nature, some who get incredible amounts of money ends up giving all the excess away, putting it into good works, philanthropy, and ends up not being ridiculously wealthy, while still having more money than they can spend in 4 generations. And they do it without making it all about them, so not paying for buildings to be named after them, etc. so you don’t even know who these people are or were. Thats what happens to the majority of folk that come into money, they retire from the public eye and fade out.

The other type are terrified of losing their new position at the top of the pile. They invest the money, their philanthropy is self serving, they try to make their ridiculous pile of money even bigger, including engineering society to make that easier by buying laws to favour them. At a certain point, the money is coming in faster than they can possibly spend it, and it’s a runaway process. But the fear that the game will change never goes away so they can’t stop.

I’m fairly certain the current obsession with demonising trans that she is focal point for is negotiated between the billionaires. They’ve met and assigned roles to keep the social order in place, some play public roles and most act in private, but they all need to play their part or face exclusion by their perceived “peers”. There’s a culture for the wealthy that has been going on for a long, long time, and it has an onboarding ramp for new money.

This ramp would involve building kompromat, mentoring, a bit of carrot and a bit of stick. Sophisticated beyond our imagining, because this is the best funded operation in the world. But it isn’t a world wide conspiracy, master minded. It operates like a terrorist organisation, operating in cells, so each of them only knows a handful of others.

If someone did get ridiculously wealthy and threatens the order or fails some purity test, then they’re off boarded out a window, or made non wealthy in short order.

Different folk will respond to different strokes. So who knows if she is coerced, cajoled, or just has a long suppressed hateful streak that led to her being selected for the part she’s playing. But I don’t think it’s accidental.

As George Carlin said, “it’s a big club, and you ain’t in it”.
