The two famous cases are Napoleon Bonaparte and U.S. President Jimmy Carter.

Napoleon Bonaparte (1807): Reportedly had a rabbit hunt turn into a rabbit mob when tame rabbits swarmed him and his hunting party, apparently expecting food.

Jimmy Carter (1979): A swamp rabbit swam towards his fishing boat while he was fishing in Georgia. Carter splashed at it with his paddle to drive it away. The press sensationalised it as the “killer rabbit attack.”
