Muhammad XI better known as Boabdil, he surrendered Granada to the combined forces of Castile and Aragon in an effort to spare his life and secure terms for the city’s surrender to also spare the lives of his city, Constantine XI Palaiologos on the other hand, he refused to surrender Constantinople when the Ottomans besieged the city, and when the Ottomans entered the city he took up his sword and he fought alongside his men, choosing to face death on the battlefield rather than flee.
