Prime Minister Anthony Albanese says counter-terrorism police are investigating after independent MP Helen Haines was “attacked” near her electorate office in Victoria’s north-east.

A 43-year-old man police believe struck Ms Haines with a Toyota Landcruiser was arrested at the scene.
