Ukraine is joining Israel as one of the few handful of states to join the United States against the world to support the starvation of the Cuban people.

Waiting for the likes of Hasan Piker to tell us how poor little Ukraine is somehow the victim and Russia is an “imperialist aggressor”, all while Ukraine collaborates with genocidal Zionism, participates in attacks on Iran, and enables the starvation of Cuba.

Libs have turned to anti-Russian frenzy to their ideological axiom, most of his viewers are those people - even if they appropriate the names and mantras of socialism. Therefore, his support of smol bean Ukraine is a smart fiscal strategy.

It also collaborates with jihadists against the AES and ukrainian servicemen were caught moving into Myanmar from India, so they’re also aiding the US destabilization there. Little chungus reddit country is on a global grindset to make the world worse, in service of Washington.

And what a disaster ex-Yugoslavia is…what is their excuse?

    Serbia - condemns embargo

    Croatia, Montenegro - abstained

North Macedonia, Slovenia, Bosnia - supports embargo

Bosnia is an actual EU/german puppet, Montenegro too, they even used to use the Deutschmark as currency and the North Macedonian currency was pegged to the Mark as well. Slovenia is possessed by a colonised mind, and Croatia is the Ukraine of the Balkans.

On a “positive note” you are wrong, because Croatia is just another puppet of the EU/Germany. Saying it’s “Ukraine of the Balkans” is a huge overstatement.

It’s not even close to Ukraine, Baltics or even Poland for that matter. Longstanding president (the commander in chief of Croatian military) has already been accused of being “pro-Russian” several times, while the (much more relevant) premier is just a slimy anemic politician and a right-wing populist, who aims for a well paid high-up position in the EU bureaucracy one day.

Slovenia? The ex-government of Slovenia, literally put a Palestinian flag on a government building and formally banned Netanyahu from Slovenia. How many other EU governments did that? On the other hand, the new right-wing government immediately reversed everything.

So, like Ukraine? Just the Ukraine of 2013.

No it’s not. No kids camps for little “Jugend” etc.

Look I despise the nationalism in all ex-Yu republics, but if you are going to do the “Everything I hate is Ukraine” schtick like a 12 year old, then a Marxist forum is not a place for you.

I regret to inform you, but none of them are real countries. Serbia under Vucic was a mafia state, which was also delivering “military aid” for EU-NATO Project in Ukraine.

            This is just Serbian chauvinism.

While the modern nation-states are devoid of real autonomy or sovereignty saying they have no “real” history is absurd and blatantly false. Self-rule by Slovenes, Croats, and Bosnians has historical precedent going back centuries and while Montenegro as a nation is much younger as a concept it does have credible origins as a distinct entity either within Serbia or independent of Serbia going back several centuries.

Please don’t use modern geopolitics to justify erasing peoples’ history and promote racist ultranationalism. That’s actually disgusting and reactionary.

Croats and Bosnians are just Serbs with a different religion. This is not chauvinism, it’s the exact opposite. Chauvinism is playing into the ethnonationalist and fascist narratives that were constructed to stoke fratricidal wars and justify the breakup of Yugoslavia.

There is no reason why we as communists need to acknowledge the legitimacy of artificial ethnostates. None of the post-Yugoslav statelets other than Serbia constitute real nations in the way that Marxism understands the National Question. Montenegro is the clearest of clear-cut examples of a region that, like Kosovo, was just straight-up stolen from Serbia, and it was done for the sole purpose of making Serbia landlocked so it could be easier to blockade and control.

Respectfully, you need to start looking past the EU-NATO narratives, their historical revisionism and political manipulations before you make accusations of chauvinism, especially when it was imperialism’s exploitation of chauvinism that led to the situation in the Balkans today.

I don’t think any of these nations can claim any priority over the others. This is like saying “Bavarians are just Saxons with a different religion”. Although I do think that merging of these identities into one unified Yugoslav identity would be the best outcome.

You need to start looking past the weird Serbian ultranationalist masturbatory pseudohistory you’ve indoctrinated yourself into. You are straight up spewing Chetnik propaganda right now and it’s fucking sick. I don’t care if Serbia is the only Yugoslav state that isn’t currently gimped to NATO that doesn’t magically erase the literal thousand years of history in which the region was divided into multiple competing states - or separates provinces part of rival empires - that led to the development of distinct cultural, linguistic, and religious identities.

Even socialist Yugoslavia recognized these distinct identities. You sound like a Serbian ultranationalist right now, rewriting history to erase the other Yugoslavs and subsume them into some mythological Greater Serbia that never fucking existed and it’s actually grotesque to listen to. This is racist, ultranationalist language you’re doing right now; not internationalism, not Marxism, not anti-imperialism. This is the shit the most racist assholes in Belgrade shout while they salivate thinking about genocide.

You need to do some serious self-criticism immediately.

I am genuinely shocked. No one but the most rabid Serbian fascist would spout such reactionary garbage.

For the history nerds, Croatia and Serbia showed up in written records about the same time, but Croatia was an actual kingdom some three centuries before Serbia had one. Serbia ended up under brutal rule of the Ottomans for almost half a millennium, while Croats ended up under Hungary and Austro-Hungarian empire and kept dying (together with the Serbs who lived there) to defend the West from the Ottomans, so there are some cultural differences after all.

What language do they speak in Croatia? Do you think the Ustaša were heroic freedom fighters? What relevance do medieval kingdoms have for the national question? Is every region of Europe that ever had its own kingdom or was under occupation by a different foreign empire its own nation? Is Germany 300 different nations?

And “to defend the West from the Ottomans”? What do you mean by this? What is “the West”? The white Christian West needed defending from the evil Muslim invaders? Is that what you’re trying to say? This phrasing sounds very much like a very common Balkan fascist dog whistle and it’s very weird you would choose to use it…

Speaking of fascists, remind me again, was it the fascists or the anti-fascists who insisted that Yugoslavia had to be torn apart to establish ethnostates for the Croats and the Bosnians? Who committed ethnic cleansing in Krajina?

To quickly elaborate, since I lived there…in socialist Yugoslavia different nationalities were actually nurtured and we were all proud of them, while expressions of unitarism, i.e. denying different nationalities (like in France), was very much frowned upon, yes, even by the party. I am pretty sure this kind of Serbian fascist garbage could land you in jail back in socialist Yugoslavia.

And how did that policy end up for Yugoslavia and the people of Yugoslavia? Did that policy make their lives better or did it result in a decade of fratricidal wars?

Fascists, by the way, seek to constantly exclude and create in-groups and out-groups.

If I was a Serbian nationalist I would say the exact opposite of what I am saying, I would heighten the differences and contradictions between Serbs and Croats, as Croatian and Bosnian nationalists do.

What is so different about Serbs and Croats that they needed to be violently broken apart?

Nothing to see here. It’s an insanely far-right take you will rarely (if ever) hear even in Belgrade itself, unless you fell in with some really wrong crowd, I guess. Besides, Serbia has far bigger issues to deal with, so this reactionary nonsense is usually just the garbage used by far-right politicians to deflect from actual issues…as usual.
