My first taste of F1 gaming was 1991s Microprose Grand Prix by Geoff Crammond on the Amiga, howver being 10 at the time, sim racing wasn’t really my thing. When I got a Megadrive I remember renting Domark’s F1 from my local Ritz Video Rental (in the UK this became Blockbuster). I rented it so many times my parents got me it for the following Christmas. I was already a fan of F1 after watching it on TV in the early 90s. It had the real drivers names and tracks and cars. It felt so fun to play. It was like Outrun on steroids. Having 3D graphical elements in a game like this also blew me away.
