This is such a hilarious take to me, because I see incel idiots describing women (and especially liberated women) as fatherless all the time, but my father was an amazing role model who had a very active presence in my life, well until I was an adult and living on my own, and he finally died of the hereditary blood disorder that’ll probably kill me, too.

And the thing is, I’m middle-aged, and have my own husband and family now, and I know my father would be proud of me. And he was a Catholic Republican! If he was alive, we would have lots to disagree on, sure, but we would respect each other while we did so.

That’s why I always laugh when I see this crap about how women who dye their hair or own a cat or believe in women having rights is a result of a lack of love from a male father figure. Because the truth is, every time I see it, I think;
