[How-To] Install and Setup Forza Horizon 5 in Steamdeck
Post is for people who’s having hard time setting this up. There are plenty of posts out there (mostly in reddit) but missing some steps, so I decided to give this a try on what has worked for me.
- Download game version 1.405.2.0 cracked by Empress
- (primary) search in https://doditorrent.org
- (backup) archive.md SLASH rYR06
- Add the setup.exe as a non-steam game and proceed with installation
- Once completed, add the ForzaHorizon5.exe as a non-steam game and force compatability to use Proton GE
- If it’s not yet downloaded, use ProtonUp-qt to install Proton GE
- Download Goldberg emulator files
- (primary) mr_goldberg.gitlab.io SLASH goldberg_emulator
- (backup) archive.md SLASH hyYxh
- Unzip file then copy all dll from <goldberg-folder>/experimental folder to game folder. Backup original DLLs before proceeding.
- If steam_appid.txt is present, edit and keep it empty. Otherwise, create this file with no contents or just delete it.
- Play game in Gaming mode
- Enjoy
i dont think thats the offical site for dodi repacks, fmhy and the megathread here both point to dodi-repacks.site
Ah yes, i’m aware. I’m just saying ‘primary’ as in this is where the repack can be found. I’ll update the post but the specific version that works in SD is 1.405.2.0 which is no longer available in dodi’s main site
