Experiencing something that is truly novel to me, whether it’s a culture, a food, a story, or any other thing, is such an exciting and rewarding feeling. That’s a big one.

Spending time with people I love, and feeling loved in return from then will never get old, that’s certainly up there at the tippy top.

And certain physical experiences are great too. Delicious meals, comfy pajama, music that brings tears to my eyes.

These are a few of my favorite things.

The natural world. Both at the micro level of looking at the symbiosis between tiny insects and plants, to the macro of untouched natural landscapes. Also clouds! We forget to look up and see how cool clouds are.

Love, human connection. The bond between people, animals and the earth. We are truly one when we take our blinders off.

The sheer variety of cultures, especially with clothing, food and housing and arts too. I love arts, especially music from different cultural backgrounds. Also the ideas. However, someone will always take those ideas too far, which is the root cause of many problems we face today.

I’m getting active and fit again, but this time with the passion that I thought I’d lost many years ago.

That anything exists at all just keeps blowing my mind over and over.

Moreover that anything we see in our daily lives is possible. For example civilization. How can a bunch of apes create this? And life, how can all thee things come together to create something so intricate and balanced?
