She is currently heading home with a clean bill of health and about to meet her new siblings!
Hey mate, just to let you know, this seems to be a Scottish fold cat. They have a genetic defect that causes cartilage weakness (that is the reason for the curled ears) and are prone to polycystic kidney dosease. Sooner or later it might need pain relief because of that (the cartilage of their joints gets damaged over time), so it should be regularly checked by a veterinarian.
That being said, I wish both of you all the best :)
Thank you! I’ve always thought Folds were adorable, so that made it much harder to turn her away.
I had never heard of their arthritis issues until after we got her and I started researching.
I wish people would stop breeding pets that clearly have issues.
But they’re CA-yoooooot-ah!
I get a little angry every time I see a pug or a bull dog now
Thanks for spreading this awareness.
You just reminded me of how much I hate people who breed animals for money. Especially people who do torture breeding.
If I will ever get another pet it will be by adoption!
She deserves lots of pets and snacks.
That’s good, because she’s had no shortage of either since we got her home!
She’s a beauty with some Scottish Fold in her. I am hoping you will adopt her if her humans cannot be found.
We are already planning on it!
Glad to hear! May she bring much joy to your lives and you to hers.
Is that a cataract in her left eye?
Probably just a reflection. Her eye is fine
Phew! Good to know.
You are right: upon closer inspection, the same object is being reflected in the iris of her right eye.
You’re not for the streets Priscilla!
Thanks for being the good kind of human, OP.
I love to see it, and I’m glad she’s being cared for. In my area, there are plenty of outdoor cats and every once and a while, I see them “napping” on the road… If you know what I mean.
It’s nice that this one was brought in from the cold and given love and food. Keep being awesome.
What a sweet little girl 💓
