Anyone here looking to ask that “5 years” question? cause I’ve got answers
This is me except I spent a year working on farms and now I absolutely want to write code that automates farming because in reality it is backbreaking and quite monotonous. Hobby farms are leisurely but actually feeding yourself and others is exhausting.
I’m right there with you. Farm automation is right up there on the list of projects I’d love to be involved in one day.
Oh hey it me, assuming “5 years” is code for, “a long enough time that I can imagine some kind of massive shift in society could plausibly occur without specifying the details”. It’s also coincidentally how far away useful fusion technology is.
This is 100% me, though I plan to keep the (100% remote) dev job until retirement age. Just waiting to hit permanent resident status here so I can get a better loan on property, but I still keep my eyes open for ones I could buy in cash. Land in Japan be expensive
Reporting in, just got my blackberries and tomatoes up off the ground a few days ago and feeling accomplished
