  • My current partner I found a near instantaneous synergy. We both fell in love pretty much right away and we met on Hinge of all places. The texts were nice, but meeting each other in person was even sweeter when we realized both how similar we are and how many things we can share with each other.

From that point on it was bonding, working on our relationship and growing closer to each other. I’m not quite sure how to put it. There’s certainly an immediate bond in a lot of the people I’ve dated, perhaps out of 2 of them we “gradually” grew closer. I’m the type to move fast, anyways, so I guess that could be my first preference. I don’t rush, but at the same time I like it when me and my partner are endlessly curious about each other and want to know everything right away.

Empathy and life experience is nice. My current partner isn’t from as rough as a background as most of my others previously but they do not fail to understand the strife and struggle that a lot of people go through. Emotional intelligence, introspection; that whole thing.

Maturity and responsibility is also a very big one. I like someone with niche interests as well.

I could go on for a while, but while politics are important; the partner I have currently is quite politically apathetic. They enjoy listening to me talk about politics, pretty much always sides with what I’m saying about politics and understands it to the bit of deeper minutia but just isn’t particularly interested in participating or choosing a side. I have gotten them more interested in certain things, however.

It’s taught me that allies can be people that don’t seem politically aligned at all and simply just agree with pretty much everything that your saying, but aren’t terminally online like we are to really attach themselves to labels, identities, etc. They can carry respect, be tolerant, support our cause but I guess with the high-stress field they’re in it’s hard for them to really think about things like that while studying for it. Not quite sure how others would interpret it.

  • Does anyone from Reddit or even taking a centrist point of the war realize this? Ukraine is going to be an absolutely fertile ground for terror-reactionaries and nationalist groups ready to dismantle both the “heckin strong Zelensky governmenterino!” and export that bullshit back to America where people will be more than happy to gargle that shit up?

Or start throwing these things towards groups in Europe. Like every single time America has ever gotten involved in a international conflict it leaves nothing but shit and ashes behind mixed with countless western-backed or previously western-backed terror groups running off the billions lost in the void of international financing. Fuck man.

  • I think this is the most reasonable response here. We shouldn’t have a dedicated comm for it, honestly. It will just be seen as cruel and pointless gawking; akin to the ones we see on reddit. Small snippets or pieces for major conflicts or offensives I can see being reasonable, or certain footage of exceptional events/etc.

I aint a “admin of lemmygrad” though, so take my word with a grain of salt.

  • “In the social production which men carry on they enter into definite relations that are indispensable and independent of their will; these relations of production correspond to a definite stage of development of the material forces of production. The totality of these relations of production constitutes the economic structure of society. The real foundation on which legal and political superstructures arise and to which definite forms of social consciousness correspond. The mode of production of material life determines the general character of the social, political, and spiritual processes of life”

    ~ Karl Marx

As for yourself, I think you answered your own question in the third paragraph.

  • Welcome to the club, buddy. Yes, we CRITICALLY support anyone who throws shit at the U.S Empire. Obviously, Yeltsin’s dog isn’t someone we blindly support. Someone already told you that this is a sign of larger geopolitical reorientation; even if only briefly for a “bartering chip” that shows how the overall world reacts under U.S “international law” and how those reactions are changing compared to even five-six years ago.

That’s it. You should know that the author likely has his own views. That this was likely shared here because we support any chip in the U.S empire and global hegemony, even if only momentarily. “The Left” is a completely disingenuous statement which tells me you likely aren’t a regular here and think we give a shit about people politics. We aren’t Ivanishvili fans. No one here is defending them and multiple people have tried to point out their actual positions to which you just reiterate that we’re supporting X and must believe X.

Are you trying to be a wrecker or something?
