Everyone is capable of different things and devoting your entire existence to overthrowing capitalism can still be bringing yourself up. It can still be learning and growing and developing your productive forces.

The world is still going to need people with seemingly mundane abilities or interests before during and after the revolution. Having a skillset that’s useful for building something better is going to be just as useful as someone who’s mastered the art of creating and throwing Molotov cocktails.
