i hate to be that guy, but “works on my machine”. i use firefox on an m1 air all day every day and it runs flawlessly, although it starts chugging a little if i have 20+ tabs open (loaded). but i genuinely cannot remember the last time i’ve seen it crash.

like someone else said, try disabling your extensions, or reinstall firefox on a new user account to try to isolate the issue

i personally love vivaldi but i’m gonna guess they are telling you to avoid it because it’s not open source. also chromium

Never finished Brütal Legend, but I just want to say that I adore the main title screen, which is an FMV of Jack Black taking you to a “secret” part of a record shop to find the game as a gatefold vinyl, where the buttons are printed on the covers and sleeves and what not. Most charming game opening I experienced as a metal-obsessed kid.

loved everything about both games! the sequel is LONG, so it might take you a while. but it tells a great story :)

my only tiny gameplay gripe is the same gripe i had with god of war: ragnarok. if you’ve played both, you know what i mean. but that’s crawling into spoiler territory. also running around looking for resources gets a little tiring sometimes. enjoy your playthrough!

i’m sorry that you have to deal with the outfall of this, OP. gamers are notoriously the most overly sensitive group to generalize, even when they’re meant to think “i recognize that this is pointing out bad apples in my community”. instead, they immediately start defending themselves as if you specifically named them

the sane response is to go “wow that is awful. the gaming community does indeed contain some terrible people, i am glad to be one of the good ones and will distance myself from this behavior”
