Please stop bringing this kind of crap into “uplifting news.”
This is objectively sad news. I’m not happy a kid isn’t getting supported by his teacher at school. While it’s probably good he was fired for it, it’s not what I’d call “uplifting” at all.
Lol I was JUST showing this to my wife and adding, and they use “aioli” on everything haha
My mortality! Hit 45 this year and it kinda feels like it’s all downhill from here.
Health is ok but that seems tenuous as I’m pretty out of shape so I feel like I’m not “set up” yet to be a healthy older person. When something does go wrong I’m not sure if I should worry about getting it treated or just live with it.
It seems futile to learn new skills and such since I’m not sure about the payoff (ROI).
Family/kids/job/money are all pretty great so I don’t have anything to complain about, but I’m still kind of feeling like I’m about to crest the hill of life and want to ensure I’m making the best of it and prepared for my eventual demise.
I don’t want to die! I really like being alive and kind of wish I had immortality (with a safety kill switch of course so I don’t have to endure the heat-death of the universe or get stuck inside a star somewhere lol)
Bahahaha $240/yr is beyond ludicrous. They should be paying us to use it lol.
Having no actual presence on social media
I’ve got some bad news for you…
Interesting. How do they pronounce father and bother? They are the same for me (a westerner).
Certain mispronunciations, such as when someone mispronounces “escape” as “excape,” “moot” as “mute,” “etcetera” as “excetera,” and finally “supposedly” as “supposably.”
This is why I almost exclusively listen to podcasts that are scripted, like casefile, freakonomics, this American life, radio lab, wait wait don’t tell me, etc.
Before this, all too often I would find myself listening to people aimlessly chatting about what they had for breakfast and such, and I realized those that scripted their episodes made for a tremendously better listening experience.
I know this is meant to sound like the expansion is fast, but it is in fact really, REALLY slow.
Look I’m all for trees and such, especially in urban environments, and I know it’s true that more foliage brings down the temperature compared to concrete jungles, but this is far from a guide, let alone a cool one. I’d call it a meme.
Things will be certifiably worse if you don’t.
I remember printing out turn-by-turn directions from MapQuest lol
At least he wore a belt in 2009. I can’t stand tucked-in shirts with no belt!
I see you excluded the guy across the street singing in his loud PA system for tips, as well as his 800 friends doing the same thing within a 1 mile radius.
(Sorry couldn’t help it. Just visited NOLA and it was cool, but I’ll be happy if I never have to hear another 11-year-old drumming as loud as he can on a Home Depot bucket.)
Inside Out 2 did well!
It could, but you’re really giving them the benefit of the doubt.
They screwed up, let’s be honest with ourselves.
In rural Wyoming and Utah, the interstate highway speed limit is 80mph, which is around 130 km/h. Most people regularly do 85, if not 95 mph (145 km/h).
This – in Denver on I-25, the speed limit is 55 mph, but if you stay below that you’re taking your life into your hands because everyone will be whipping by you at least 10 (and often 20) mph faster. Honestly, speed up a bit and it feels safer because there isn’t such a speed differential between you and everyone else.
But wouldn’t that mean the bottom checkbox should be cleared and the 2nd one should be checked?
Still doesn’t make sense.
