Game of Thrones. To much a period drama.
Game of Thrones. To much a period drama.
The fuck we are. This sounds like psyop
I have mixed experience with Electrolux. Tho’ it has excelent representation in Norway. V-Zug looks really interesting, but only sold in Switzerland and Germany… Perhaps Denmark.
Got a “entry point” Miele about 9 years ago. Same experience as you. If they have started compromising on quality I don’t know where to go… Asko is now Gorenje and produced in China, and have not pulled out of Russia.
Thats a great feeling. I did extremely low level tech support for other students while at uni. in 2003 (Think issuing user names, filling copy paper, sorting out storage space allocation on the shared drives.) Small part time job that paid for boze. A girl came in with a 3.5" floppy disk on the verge of tears and said she couldn’t get the file on it. It was her master thesis and the only place she had stored it. We still had floppy disk drives and I slitted it in and used a dos shell to acess a: but nothing. No disk in drive. I took the floppy out and noticed that the metal protection of the actuall disk (that soft plastic circle) didn’t slide properly. To me it looked like the spring was just to worn and had no tension. Took it off and could then access the files on it. Error was that the spring wasn’t able to slide the metal protector away when inserted into the reader.
Copied the files to her “home” area, sent a copy by email and gave her a new floppy with the files and told her about the importance of back ups.
The sheer look of relief and gratitude was priceless.
I was refering to the “quad rotor type” I dont follow the war so close that I watch much of the combat footage, but I get the impression that they are extensively used for taking out single targets like the Russian vehicle in OPs post.
I agree that againsr a high flying missile drone what I suggested would be useless.
To me it seems like WW2 style close support anti-air is idealy suited for slow flying smaller drones. Given the low altitude, size and no armor I would think the way to go was to use even smaller calibres to increase the “bullet density”. Chain fed linked 5.56 machine guns in an array perhaps?
Major shareholders seems to be in it for the long term, but it seems to me that all “venerable” brands are shit these days. So you can either buy mostly shit, or artisinal small scale that cost a fortune. Any new startups can never get off the ground as they can’t get shelf space in any major store.
Honorable mentions are Miele, Beretta shotguns and who else?
Edit: just remembered that Beretta has a clothing line that is probably just braned crap
Fiskars product range is weird. Kitchen utensils, gardening tools and craft equipment. Sort of made sense when all contain a blade of some sort. But a garden rake? (That is pretty decent.) Guess now that much of it is just rebranding.
Also depending on how often it is “used” When I did my conscription service in Norway we had G3 magazines with ammunition issued for sentry duty. That is the same magazines were kept in the camp guard office and then handed over to whoever was going out for sentry duty. (But you used your own weapon) There were always a full squad of 10 + 1 sergeant and 2 officer on duty. So 13 magazines. Once I was on duty I counted the rounds and the spring was so broken from the constant tension it was only able to lift the five first cartridges. Then the sergeant checked the rest and all were broken. We tried actual loading and about five cartridges were chambered. End of semi pointless story? My boredom created a new SOP for guard magazines.
My bad. You can get Aquavit clear as well. Often dill spices and not aged in barrels. Good for seafood, and a mostly swedish brands.
I think the best one is Gilde Non Plus Ultra. (Gilde is the brand for Norwegian farmer co-op for cow, pig and sheep meat, but don’t know if they have anything to do with it. The word is old Norwegian for a feast) Made from potatoes and it’s a blend using the soleras system so it contains several different maturing levels.

Tbf I have more respect for enthusiast car ownership than many other types of cars.
I walk most places, take the train and limit the use of my own car. (mazda6 estate) Hard to do now that I have a three year old.
I would love an El Camino with an 400hp xl engine. A completely useless car that will be mostly tinkering and some summer driving. A Shelby is a nice car, and if cars are a hobby I say go for it.
I have more issues with oversized cars clogging up my town on what could have been done with a bike or by foot
Isn’t Brennevin just a strong clear unspiced alcohol? Akevitt (Aauavita) is caraway spiced (+more depending on brand) and barrel aged in sherry casks. “Linje” specifically is aged on Wilh.Wilhelmsen ships going to the southern hemisphere, crossing the equator twice. (Hence the name “line”) You can see the name of the boat on the backside of the label. The rolling of the waves and the heat from the sun somehow helps with the maturing stored alcohol.
Not sure about what to substitute aquavit with tbh.
Edit: Funny name, combining alcohol from Norway and Scotland.
I use the Norwegian finn.no (listings of everything from old books to cars to houses. Norway is such a small market that one service covers all) It’s perfect for selling used (but little used) baby and child stuff. I have also bought a lot off Lego Duplo.
Letterkenny. Mostly character driven
Not hard to move. Almost impossible to move. In my shelf apart from some old leather bound books from my grandfather (Churchils world history, complete Hamsund) and CE and hard cover 40k books I have nothing but paper trash
I had a beard while in (Norwegian combat engineer). You can pull the mask as tight as a homophobic preachers sphincter in a pride parade and it will never be completely sealed. After the first time it was voluntary to pull off the mask while testing using CS, I used to take it off as I was exposed already. In a war situation I would be smooth as Flipper in a second
Solid tactial decision :)

Dell Switzerland is hardly doing it to appease NATO “allies”. Yeah I know they are sort of allied adjacent.
I am not saying that the countries are not doing these things. But are they doing it to curry favor with TACO Trump?
