Oh, that’s totally real, I get them all the time. They appear a few seconds after heavy impacts from canes or batons. These kinds of marks are basically the early stage of a bruise, you might even get a bruise directly if you do it hard enough or if the lines cross each other. They also slightly bulge out of your skin, so if you have a lot of them you can feel their texture when running your hand over them.

And yeah, some women not only endure being caned, they actually enjoy it 😉

It’s a book series called Shibaku by Peter Wettstein. I can definitely recommend it. It has good illustrations and gradually builds to more complex ties

It was actually freshly sharpened, which makes it better for wax removal 😁
