I’m guessing the shift is to ensure it isn’t hidden by Fantastic Four. (And was probably decided some time ago, they’re just announcing it now.)

So if you started right now you could watch them all.

Riri Williams had a small introduction in Wanda Forever, but wasn’t core to the story. We never learned that much about her, but we got a rough idea of her character.
The show was delayed by a year, year and a half, so instead of being a follow up to Wakanda Forever it awkwardly comes out 2-3 years later.
Disney released it as a quick dump, it’s 6 episodes released in quick succession (1 week gap). Generally this means low confidence in the show.
That being said, what I’ve seen so far, the show generally is pretty good. It’s got problems, mainly the pacing. It either needs a few more episodes to flesh out some storylines and characters, or it needs to trim things down and just be a movie.
Now maybe it won’t stick the landing, but after three episodes I’m intrigued by the main plot and looking forward to the final three episodes.

The first act and intro is a solid setup. We meet our heroes, they have a great dynamic. Second act struggles a bit, but they’re learning to use their powers and setting up the stakes.
And then the third act and finale.
Like I said I’ll defend Fan4tastic.
Ok, but to make it interesting I’m hiding them somewhere in the house. You get paid only after you find them all.

Sony was definitely bottom barrel but even DC struggled at times to fill it even half way. (And sometimes they were absolutely garbage too.)
I think there was for a time a feeling that at least with Marvel you’d get something great. However when even they’re just ok the whole field starts to look empty.
I think that’s partially why Captain America Brave New World, despite being the worse film, generally did about the same as Thunderbolts. If a film is just going to be “ok” it should at least have some familiar faces.
MimicJar@lemmy.worldMto Marvel Studios@lemmy.world•The New York Times has ranked "Black Panther" at #96 on its list of The 100 Best Movies of the 21st Century, making it the second highest-ranked superhero movie (out of just two) on the list.13·2 days agoInto the Spider-verse absolutely deserves a spot on this list.
The only animated films on this list are Spirited Away, Wall-e, Up & Ratatouille.
Ratatouille definitely doesn’t deserve a spot, it’s good but it’s so far below many other films. Wall-e I’m onboard with but Up, while having an excellent intro, both immediately and setup, is just ok in the second half.
Inside out? Incredibles? That’s what I would have expected for Pixar films.
Plus, I know it’s memed to death but Shrek should absolutely be on the list.
But, going back, if I get one animated films, Spider-verse is where I go. Hell I’d probably put both Spider-verse films on this list.

Post Secret Wars the door is wide open. Sony and Marvel can make an extended version of the Spider-man deal and in addition to mutants we can get all of Spider-Man’s friends & enemies.
You also have to keep track the site and how you spell it. For example is it “Microsoft” or “microsoft”?
And keep track of the current name of the site vs the old name. For example am I signing into Microsoft or Live.com or Xbox?
And keep track of my username. Is it my email? Which email? Which username?
I understand the concept but I think if falls apart fast.

Correct!
But Lemmy isn’t one of those platforms. Right?
Generally I agree with the article that the shutdown of lemm.ee isn’t a big deal. It sucks for sure, but the Fediverse survives.
Personally I don’t care about account migration. Export/import works fine, but I get that it’s a little clunky for some.
Community migration is something that I think is more important and as I understand PieFed handles this. Hopefully Lemmy will someday and even better between Lemmy & PieFed.
