Winterbeast began production in 1985. Producer Mark Frizzell thought it would take a weekend to finish. By 1989, he pulled the plug.

Originally, the filmmakers imagined the Winterbeast to be a stop-motion creature. This became a guy in a costume, of which some footage was shot. When the film fell apart, Frizzell did a little stop motion bits between gigs at his day job to fill in the missing monster footage. The film as we know it was released in 1992.

So the monster you see on the cover is not actually in the movie, instead you’ll see some foolish claymation creatures.

I’d say its more like they are walking all over their customers.

This movie is absolutely a knockoff of The Warriors (1979) but I actually think I like it more. The main character, Trash is the best androgynous action hero since Ellen Ripley. The violence is great and the themed street gangs are over-the-top.

Austin Powers (2): The Spy Who Shagged Me. They immediately reveal that Vanessa was a fembot controlled by Doctor Evil, which completely retcons her character and role in the first movie.

I bought fly paper last week to get rid of some gnats. It was from amazon, not the black market. The guy lies with every breath.

This was also directed my Seagal. A real steaming heap of a movie, but pretty damn funny.

I think you are onto something with the size of the pots. I think they are 8" wide, but I just popped one of the plants out and noticed that the roots were very densely populated so I just moved one to a much larger pot. Thanks for the advice!

Thanks for the info! Luckily our gnat problem seems to be finally resolved. I actually did water these 20 mins before taking the photo. Do you think these will recover now that the gnats are gone?

Salvatore’s Drizzt series is what got me into reading like 20 years ago. I loved them then and now the CQ series is reminding me why. They are very easy reads with likable characters and I think his writing really shines when it comes to action/battle scenes.

Baldur’s Gate 3 has me on a D&D kick so I’ve been making my way through The Cleric Quintet from R.A. Salvatore.
