Your not missing much, the discord for perchance is full of misinformation by people who seem to be kids. they spout unverified info as if it were facts and they were some kind of experts which is laughable, and they only care about furries and hentai. Plus, they posted a direct link to C P for everyone to look at as opposed to quietly reporting it and contacting the dev discreetly, one of the furry creators even posted the same link here it looks like- DONT CLICK IT. They obviously dont even realize they can also be held liable for distribution of C P by sharing it like that, even if they thought they were doing the “right thing” by sharing it for all to see. Not too sharp there. They Im sure are oblivious to the very real harm they can cause perchance by doing that.

I have to say, the only benefit ive experienced from this update was now text renders better. But every other aspect is worse.

The worst seems to be the simple lack of clarifying news about the update. People on reddit are confused and wondering what is going on.

Just let us know if this is permanent and what the changes were so we can adjust, or let us know if we can relax and things will be fixed at some point.

The drastically reduced token count is ruining generators that use style mixing. We used to be make to make amazing unique images, now things seem to default to cartoons.

the style tags on many generators used to be able to mitigate the tendency for the images to skew toward cartoons, but they no longer seem to work.

Weights are totally broken, no more boosting terms to even things out or control the prompt better.

we can still make photo-real images but we can make complex scenes as we have to dedicate so much of the prompt to the quality/camera terms to make the image not be a cartoon. If weights worked we could try to boost a smaller amount of tokens and have more room for the actual prompt we want to achieve. The token count is so small it fights us every step.

So please, just give us some news about what your intentions are!

I agree, there is a huge community of perchance dedicated users who are patiently awaiting some news, ANY NEWS, from the dev about all the regressive rollbacks of the update. The token limit is tiny, weights no longer work, CFG behavior is different, and many generators that use style mixing are basically worthless as the token limit cuts off most of the prompts.

All we are asking for is the dev saying if this is the new normal or are things still being worked on? Can we at least get that much communication?

So many prompts are useless now, old collected “perfect” seeds are now changed presumable because of the token limit. without weights many prompts are unbalanced.

I know we dont owe the dev anything. All we are asking for is simple communication. ANYTHING. Please.

And I 2nd the need to return weights,seeds,cfg,token count back to normal.
