Yup. They can keep some of the provincial land. They don’t get any crown or indigenous land. I’m fine with Canada gifting Alberta about the size of PEI or something, and have no “federal” access to any major natural resources.

Hope they ramp up their lumber industry for export to foreign nations. And I hope they negotiate some remarkable international trade deals for that lumber. Because last I checked, the rest of Canada is lush with wood and we don’t need to pay an import tax to a foreign nation the size of PEI for their wood.

Not for me out here in Nova Scotia. Canada keeps all the oil. We keep the majority of the land. “The Country of Alberta” would pretty much be the size of PEI with their own passports, no airport, and their own currency that would be worth nothing.

And those who voted for it can enjoy not being a part of Canada anymore, which is what is most important to them. Critical through doesn’t exist with them.

  • Those idiots really think if they seperate from us they just keep all the land…

They’ll basically have a portion of Calgary and Edmonton, a single highway, probably no airport, we keep all the oil fields so they have no economy, they need to create their own currency and passports…

No one ever accused Alberta seperatists of being smart.
