One of my old houses had speaker jacks in each corner of the room which was a godsend when setting up surround sound for a home cinema setup.

Prismo@lemmy.worldto Showerthoughts@lemmy.world•Hair probably had an important function at some point in human evolution but now it's mostly cosmetic60·1 year agoI appreciate the usefulness of my eyebrows to divert rain away from my eyes. I do not appreciate my moustache’s water gathering properties when walking in humid environments.

If yes, please recommend a good chair.9·1 year agoSurprisingly this chair has come out highly in reviews when compared to 4 figure chairs. I have it and can say it is very comfortable. It’s not going to be the best of the best, however if your budget doesn’t stretch to more than mid-3 figures this could be a good alternative.

Prismo@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.ml•Europe’s deepest mine to become giant gravity battery4·1 year agoI’m going to preface this by saying, all I know is that know about the subject was one physics class in college… The teacher mentioned Hydro Pump Storage that pumps water into a reservoir when there is an excess of energy generation then releases it through turbines when there is a surge is energy needs on the grid. Wouldn’t this idea work in a very similar way? If so it would seem feasible as about 15% of the UKs STOR requirements are met in this way.

This is why I try to make every moment special with them and give them the happiest life possible. It doesn’t make it hurt less, but you can know that you made one souls life as perfect as possible and you loved them with all your heart.

My back of an envelope calculation gives me 4cm, but happy to be proved wrong! I did 1600km3 over 75% of 510,000,000km2
I also found a huge difference between filaments. Creality was terrible for me, Reflow is great
This really summarises the passive aggressive level you get to with a 3D printer: “Lift off the bed now you little fucker!”
I added some swear words as contact names, this is one way to get around the fucking censorship
