Because football didn’t want to, it was a self governed wild west in a way. Now the government has threatened to introduce an independent regulator so English football is trying to look like its cleaning up its act and doesn’t need regulating (it does).

I mean imo it should be brought up, wasn’t mentioned at all during city’s treble celebrations last year. Instead the media were trying to present it as this wholesome story. Was kind of sickening.
