ooh I’ll have to try this
I think you’re tilting at a specific brand of Atheism, and that one of the problems here is that Atheism isn’t cleanly divided into cults and offshoots the way that religions tend to be. For the specific brand of western chauvinist Atheism you’re talking about, I propose the name “Hitchensism,” after one of its founding thinkers in the modern world.
RIP bozo maybe don’t invade your neighbors next time
putting too much spaghetti into too small of a pot
shit the sticks are falling all over the place
shit there’s not enough water, I gotta add more
shit there’s too much water, the pot’s boiling over
shit my strainer is too small for the amount of wet spaghetti I have
shit I don’t have enough sauce
mmm spaghetti
shit I don’t have a free Tupperware container for the leftovers
I mean, I agree that that’s what they were going for, but it still skeeved me out reading it and I’m glad they didn’t actually make it canon.
In Chaos Theory North Korea’s aggression is entirely the result of Japanese fascists who want to remilitarize hacking their missile systems with the help of an American military contractor who wants to start a regional war for profit, so maybe they should re-read their source material.
I would clarify/refocus. It’s not about the work itself, it’s about who benefits. The work of all should benefit all, and it should be organized democratically - but while our current society does the bare minimum of social spending and has a veneer of democracy, the fact is that 90% of our work benefits a small portion of the population and is organized non-democratically.
The recent Game Freak hack leaked a bunch of story ideas for Pokeverse mythology, and some of them (like the Typhlosion one) are sus as hell.
Currently debating between going to bed early and getting a midnight burrito. Seems like I encounter this dilemma every night.
Over my adult life I’ve watched tickets for major acts go from under a hundred to over a thousand dollars. I used to have friends who would go to concerts every other week and see whoever was in town, but now the only people you can see at a reasonable price are local indie bands, and frankly that scene just doesn’t appeal to most people. The music industry is like a sheep farmer who decided to kill and skin his sheep for leather and is now surprised that the wool isn’t growing back.
AFAIK there’s no game mechanic differences between Steam and Free, it’s just the graphical/menu overhaul.
fakenews
whew, I don’t know if I could handle wesley willis being appropriated by chuds.
cried for a week straight
They’re still crying about it!
Is this on X? I remember when DJT got unbanned and didn’t immediately post there, I guess that was when he still had enough money to afford a shred of dignity.
Trump is playing the hits I see.
Same thing with how normalized a bunch of therapy speak has become, but of course that has the additional wrinkle of everyone misusing it because they’re not licensed therapists.
After reading through a bunch of the Game Freak leaks, I am now 100% convinced that the Vaporeon copypasta came from a Game Freak dev.
This video is pretty cool, I love the throughline of ancient empires founding cities as centers of imperial administration, those cities being abandoned after the empire collapses because they’re pretty useless, and then finding a new purpose as emperors hundreds of years later dug them up to “prove” their claims to the throne. And all of this is thousands of years ago, far enough that we only know about the old empire’s cities because of the archeological work of the slightly-less-ancient civilization!
