The US doesn’t have a walking culture outside some cities like NY, Boston, DC, San Francisco, and maybe Chicago. In most part of the US it’s strange to see people walking at random, or any, hours. I spent some time in Sugarland, Texas, and walked to the pharmacy once, some 15-20 minutes walk and people stopped to ask me if I was okay.
