I made that on my gaming PC (I use tons of non Linux compatible stuff for flight simming) and zero problems. It’s even riced to not look like Windows DE and act like i3wm.

Les gars sont cools, français et ils ont l’air d’être potes IRL.
Ils ont un serveur “Freedom Fighter”, un mod sur lequel on essaie de monter la résistance et de virer l’armée d’occupation (les cainri dans cette partie).
Ici c’est moi, déguisé en civil, devant mon fidèle camion qui me permet de cacher mes armes, partir faire de la logistique, de la reco ou juste poser de la propagande dans les villes.
Mon camion est ma maison, la radio est toujours allumée pour diffuser des chants à la gloire de la liberté (du rock)

I work in ATC and we have several desks with around 12 to 18 screens. Not in that layout tho, but on a much larger banana form.
They are used at different support positions so not ATC radars. Mostly for monitoring but also used with keyboard and mouse.
The applications goes from technical surveillance of ops systems, to flow capacity (airspace capacity), meteo broadcast for all airports (ATIS) or ground-ground telecommunications of aeronautical data.

We (French speaking peoples) have several instances, the one I’m writing from is probably the most active on lemmy, the others are on piefed.
I’d say if you see a lot of them it’s probably because of your language settings or because of those German instance settings.
I had to block several of their communities as I don’t have German selected in my languages but they still show on all (and in German, not English posts hosted on a German instance), so they were just badly setup. Maybe it changed tho, I haven’t updated my blacklist in a while.

In very active and populated servers I can see that becoming a problem yes.
I generally use the “combined view” so I see every threads at the same time and reply in the correct one automatically.
From the git above, it downloads an official MS iso and debloat it to create a lighter one. It’s the same as installing a normal iso and then removing stuff like one note etc, except that those are not installed by default so no need to remove them.
Specialized software from laptop brands (asus or whatever) are useless shits. You only need the drivers and an OS.
