How does one identify without using AI? Do I need to buy a book or are there good material online?

261·10 months agoGlobular springtails have a unique tail-like appendage under their belly called a furca, which they use to jump and escape from predators. This structure allows them to perform impressive jumps, often flipping through the air as they do so.

After I designed and 3D printed it I brought it to school when I was an apprentice (now I teach there), where a classmate thought it looked cool and wanted to make it out of aluminium that he got from his job. I got jealous that is was so much cooler than the 3D print, so I also got a large piece of aluminium to make my own.
