A middle-aged nerd from the UK. I like films and write about them, sometimes for Film Stories or my blog.
Have a great day.
I was being a bit tongue in cheek. GAME took over EB in the UK. I don’t think they’re any dedicated gaming shops anymore, just independents.
Then basically there’s no point in this shop existing anymore. They’re basically toy stores now.
I occasionally look in Game but can’t remember the last time I actually bought anything. It would’ve been a pre-owned title anyway.
Is Electronics Boutique still going? 😁
Some of the voters are a bit scary too. I keep hearing a clip from LBC where some asks Starmer if he would’ve been in Corbyn’s cabinet.
Starmer kicked Corbyn out. That’s years ago. Why are you still trying to link the two people still now.
Finally, who are the 20% that would still vote Tory? Rich business people with no ethics?
I’m not sure where to implement it, but something featuring Kryten.
“Go to alert!” “Are you absolutely sure, sir? It does mean changing the bulb!”
Or failing that, maybe an error that is contained in a quoted Space Core Directive?
I remember the first DVDs extras where items such as “interactive menu” which always bugged me because surely a non interactive menu is just a picture of some buttons?
Anyway, the extras got better and better over the years and the quality on some titles has been astounding.
The Frighteners has a 4½ hour “making of” for example. The Alien Quadrilogy and Blade Runner are two more examples of amazing DVD extras as well.
Sadly, it seems to be just the boutique labels putting in the work these days. It’s frustrating when studio releases list several intriguing sounding extras and then it turns out they only last five minutes each.
Apparently my area will get a lean Labour win. I bloody hope so, my Tory MP is useless. Aren’t they all?
As a fan of the franchise, I’m definitely interested, but as a mature gamer, I’m always weary of film tie-ins…
As a child of the late 70s/ early 80s, we never had brick separators. The majority of my bricks had teeth marks! 😁
Sadly, when I fix apps on my dad’s tablet, I notice he has YouTube subscribed to GBNews. I have to avoid any political discussion with him as he has gone down the rabbit hole and repeated many crazy theories which I debunk immediately, but I don’t think he believes me.
That’s was a game I loved so much, I played through it twice! Shame it never got any “pro” enhancements as the canyon levels hit the FPS levels causing stutters.
On Tuesday I imagine, yes.
Considering a move to VOD is basically giving the film away to piracy, you’d think they would give a film the best chance in the cinema.
I can’t believe they make cinema money from vod services.
Here a crazy idea! If you’re interested in a film or TV show, watch it. I don’t understand the premise behind rotten tomatoes, especially when this kind of thing goes on.
Took me completely by surprise that Campbell narrated the game and honestly, that kept me going.
I normally listen to heavy metal, rock maybe nerdcore rap. The other night, I was alternating between the albums of Natalie Imbruglia and Melanie Chisholm. There’s some good stuff in there.
I saw such a device on Instagram. I think it was a Bluetooth connection from the computer diagnostic port to the phone.
The app takes this data and makes the right noise based on engine revs. The app was full of different engine sounds both real and fictional along with silly noises such as farting.
I think Mr Cameron is the only one who’s doing this at the moment. They’re other transfers that have been botched recently but not because of AI.
As a big Ghostbusters fan, I really enjoyed it, but I think I enjoyed Afterlife more. I’ve only seen FE once in the cinema, so I’m looking forward to watching it again and giving it a second judgement.
I can’t afford / ever buy games brand new. I’ll wait for a sale as well, maybe when it’s more reasonable, like £30ish.
As a young computer nerd, the Bill Gates / Windows 98 bit had me in stitches.
