I’m in Iowa and yep, I’ve been getting mailers 1-2 times a week for the past month that are “vote republican because they stand up for Israel” type messaging. I don’t have TV though so can’t comment on commercials.

The trans panic stuff still outnumbers the pro-Israel messaging about 3:1. “So and so DemocRAT candidate voted to let MEN into GIRLS’ bathrooms!!! Therefore, vote for Trump’s guy!”

5months later, I made it over the weekend. I found milk bread buns at a local bakery with a very small amount of asian offerings. It was ok, but missing acid. I wanted more lemon, perhaps some dollops of a lemon custard throughout.

I’ve made a full 24- hour version once and am considering again for thanksgiving. Everyone loved it last time and people were going back for seconds of it more often than seconds of turkey.

I would call social services for an abandoned baby. I don’t believe in souls or reincarnation, so would never think to assume the baby is a reincarnated or time traveled or otherwise magicked person.

We’re a product of both nature and nurture; that baby isn’t going to live the same life my lover did so is not and never will be the same person as my lover.

I try to have one athletic/health, one artistic, and one academic thing going. Some things I get bored with and replace pretty quickly, some last a really long time.

Gym with weights is boring? Cool, tried it, not for you, go find some other physical thing to try. Give it a go, keep at it or try yet another new thing.

I sometimes say my hobby is trying hobbies. I go into group classes and clubs with that mindset. It helped me to stop feeling like a newbie loser not as proficient as the people around me, because I’m literally there to be new. People know me for that character trait. And someday soon I will be new at another thing, and another, and another.

And I don’t wait to do new things with friends. It’s a 1000-year event, getting schedules to align across several busy adults.

Surely she’ll have a driver now. Problem resolved!

Edit: Or she’ll get fired before even a full week on the job. Problem resolved! Sorta. Probably still a really bad driver, just without the national attention.

Never clicked for me. Glad he’s out there as one more progressive voice who isn’t a total dry loser, but not my personal cup of tea.

Satire like that really isn’t my jam, but out of the easily accessible ones, I’m more likely to catch a Colbert or Oliver clip.
