He gets saved by the fascists, builds out a massive fascist empire in the galaxy.

The term “STEM-bro” predates the genAI boom, at least it begun rising in popularity during the Gamergate controversy.

STEM-bros lack the vision of their peers, they mainly see their field as a 9-to-5, as something that pleases their parents more than a trade school. They were those, who pioneered using fandoms and other nerd-groups as a tool to exclude others, usually through utter toxicity. Then the nerds slowly learned from them, who now think they served the purpose of making sure “the thing they’re fans of never changes” rather than to protect the status of some bro, who were into some more obscure stuff.

Sure, many jock-types are nice. There’s even a stereotype, that gym-bros are the nicest people. However, VeganGains is a well known counterexample of that. Competitive sports are a lot worse than your average bro pumping iron in the gym. And don’t get me started on the “failed jocks”, especially those who also frequented fandom circles.

It is just million times more relevant for fascism, and some more moderate conservatives try their best to not be hypocrites. Fascists however flex their status with public hypocrisy. Or think the people who expose their secret hypocrisy are the real bad people, who are trying to tarnish their right to be remembered as perfect human beings by historians.

Because they believe in unequality. They want you to follow certain set of morals, some of which has no basis in reality, all while they don’t follow any of it.

They don’t hate stuff like pedophilic poor people because pedophilia is bad. They hate pedophilic poor people because they want child molestation to be exclusively of theirs, a kind of a status symbol. Similarly they want you to not be gay for some weird pronatalist obsession of theirs, all while they want to secretly go to gay parties.

When Curtis Yarvin and others say they want feudalism back, they don’t mean a king that is nice like in the fantasy novels they read, they want the nobles to re exempt of the law. Or unequality.
