The blockade of the sale of oil to Cuba by the United States threatens the sovereignty of all nations
February 3, 2026
On January 22, the Trump administration threatened the island nation with a total naval blockade. And on January 29, Trump signed an executive order describing Cuba as an “unusual and extraordinary threat” to the United States and declaring that Washington will impose punitive tariffs against any country that sells oil to Cuba.
Isaac Saney is a Cuban specialist who coordinates the Black and African Diaspora Studies program at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
… Saney issued a statement that first appeared on January 30 on his Facebook page. It was later published by the Cuban news service Radio Rebelde.

So the barman gave it to her.

Or Telstra they could follow the GSM standard and use 112 for emergency calls from mobiles, like we advised Telecom Australia them 30 years ago. Phones that have been blocked by Telstra for being unable to call triple-zero are perfectly capable of calling 112, which in Australia redirects to triple-zero call centres but removes the need to call triple-zero directly. Thanks, Telstra, for making our GSM compliant phones bought overseas, obsolete in Australia.
