artifactsofchina@lemmy.worldto Enough Musk Spam@lemmy.world•Who Is Tiffany Fong, Crypto Whistleblower Who Refused To Carry Elon Musk's Baby9·11 天前A Cryptocurrency reporter, born in 1994, lost $200,000 when Celsius went bankrupt. Her post about that went viral. Later she interviewed SBF while he was under house arrest. She disclosed some of the records he shared with her to the NYT.
Saved you a click.
artifactsofchina@lemmy.worldtoAMUSING, INTERESTING, OUTRAGEOUS, or PROFOUND@lemmy.world•One fine day...English4·14 天前It’s a strong sentiment but I really don’t want to see him martyred.
I want to see him fail and fail hard. I want to see his hubris snap back on himself. I want the cameras that he loves so much to capture the moment he sees how he lost because of moves he made. Let reality unmake him, not some unstable hero with a gun.

artifactsofchina@lemmy.worldto Buy Canadian@lemmy.ca•A guide to switching your Audiobook app to support smaller and more ethical businesses (Canadian Edition!)14·16 天前What’s with all the low res images on Lemmy? It happens often enough to be annoying.
I mean here is a perfectly informative graphic, if it were readable.
artifactsofchina@lemmy.worldto Dad for a Minute@lemmy.world•I shouldn't care but I do. My father has been so absent throughout my whole lifeEnglish4·18 天前I’m sorry for how your father treated you, and did not value you.
Adam Young has a great podcast, the place we find ourselves, and there’s a great episode titled your kingdom (find it here) .
He has this powerful idea that, ‘by harming you, evil unwittingly prepared you to rule your kingdom better than if you had not been abused.’
By building community in response to a hurt you feel keenly, you are following this principle.
I wish you all the best.
Hey, that’s a good point!
I think they’re keen to buy something new, so my main excitement is hey look a shop where you can start with Linux in the first place.
But I could also end up showing them how to repurpose their current laptops as media servers or something, which would be cool!
This is what I’m excited about. My parents are in the market for new laptops, I’m going to see if they will take a framework running popOS and make the switch to Linux. It’s incredible that this option is now so approachable.
artifactsofchina@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•are you permanently banned off reddit? or do you just like lemmy more?1·25 天前I was always wary about reddit being a non-opensource/non-federated platform. But the communities there were incredible. I remember when it really was like the ‘front page of the internet’. But I could not believe the user unfriendly decisions they made, and the app ban was the death-knell.
Besides, Lemmy is awesome! Not much need to go back.
artifactsofchina@lemmy.worldto Fediverse@lemmy.world•Internet forums are disappearing because now everything is Reddit and Discord. And that's worrying.English32·1 个月前I’m so inspired by the Fediverse, the social options we have these days are just magical.
A decade ago, Diaspora got press because they were going to build an alternative to Facebook. But there was hype and then there was disappointment.
Now, everybody knows how terrible legacy social media is. Everybody knows. Sure, most people are still stuck there. But these vibrant alternative places exist! The options are exciting! It is so much better than it’s ever been!
Just keep building. This is great, and it’s only just started.
I swear there was a game with areas exactly this.
Try the lower salt variety. Spread thinly on Sao biscuits. Add thinly sliced cheddar for a bit of extra.
Also try on plain toast. Add extra butter if you want more comfort.
Try it on toasted Turkish bread. With butter. Add avocado if you want some town vege.
These suggestions could be interpreted as class brackets. The Vegemite covers them all, though.
