Today I was supposed to get it, and I saw the driver stealing the package after marking it as delivered.English6·17 days agoHow does Walmart do it? I ordered my Switch 2 and a couple other accessories on separate occasions from them over the last few weeks, and they are clearly not using any of the traditional delivery services.

atocci@lemmy.worldto Nintendo@lemmy.world•Nintendo Switch Games with Free Nintendo Switch 2 UpdatesEnglish74·2 months agoOh, okay I guess. From the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct they made it sound like the Scarlet and Violet update would be paid DLC for nothing more than improved frame rates, glad it’s not.
It’s nice to know that even without internet, they still had Balatro ❤️
Ah yes, that one scene in Monsters Vs Aliens

The mod was always the best way to play in VR, but it’s not a supported way to play because it’s a mod.
atocci@lemmy.worldto Games@sh.itjust.works•Minecraft officially kills support for VREnglish159·2 months agoJava Minecraft doesn’t and never has supported VR, we’ve always needed a mod for that. Bedrock was the only one with official VR support.
Venmo categorizes payments differently if they’re repayments between friends or payment for goods and services at the time it’s payed though, and everything I’ve found says they only count payment for goods and services towards the $600 total for the automatic 1099k.
That’s not actually how it works for personal payments, right? for example, a group of roommates using Venmo to split rent wouldn’t prompt Venmo to generate a tax form or report to the IRS.

I have recently found the happiness-bringer object, it is Beyblades. Wow, look at 'em go
atocci@lemmy.worldto internet funeral@lemmy.world•You may choose to use the Internet.English2·3 months agoThey hit so much harder now than they used to and have a fair bit of weight behind them. When I first got a couple, they broke my old Metal Fusion stadium because it was too thin to handle the recoil. Beyblade X stadiums also have a rail around the perimeter for the gear teeth on the tops to mesh with and launch themselves off of through the center of the arena.
atocci@lemmy.worldto internet funeral@lemmy.world•You may choose to use the Internet.English2·3 months agoThat’s a take I haven’t heard yet actually. Beyblade X is fantastic and actually super fun in my opinion, which seems to be the general consensus too. It’s way more violent and action-y than any of the older generations. Plus, Hasbro is finally matching the quality of the Japanese releases from Takara Tomy again, unlike their half-assed releases from Burst. If you were able to get your hands on the Takara Tomy version, I’ve heard Burst was a great game with lots of cool gimmicks, but the version Hasbro released had the all quality of a Happy Meal toy.
Hasbro’s Beyblade Burst releases were terrible, lazy, and designed to maximize profit. Parts made of metal on the Japanese versions were replaced with hollow plastic, rubber was replaced with hollow plastic, and the “drivers” (which should have had all the cool gimmicks built into them for that generation) were replaced with hollow plastic. Even bits that should have been made of solid plastic were replaced with more hollow plastic.
Yeah, the math there is ignoring the entire process of actually getting off Earth
