3 days agoCan’t save the world, but I try to give back when I can. This economy has me in a vice too. I bought the car before everything went to hell. No way I would now, but I think CarPlay would still make the short list of requirements.

I have an EV with capacitive touch buttons for everything and a screen in the middle of the dash that basically exists solely to serve up CarPlay.
Maybe it’s because I’m older and have already lived through crank windows, no air conditioning, no airbags, and all that stuff, but I much prefer the creature comforts. I don’t really see a compelling reason to go backward.
Nah, traction control especially is great.

After Elon publicly called out his documented relationship with Epstein in the files, he still wants to support him? Not surprised.

Also a die hard vim user. Once you get comfortable with it, it’s a very functional tool that will always be there for you, at least in vi form if nothing else.

It’s not typical in America or any capitalist society. In fact, I’ve only seen subsidized ones built to alleviate scarcity in food deserts.
Being too purist about the openness of a distribution is a big reason Linux has taken so long to gain foothold on PCs.
He is too thick to recognize that extreme measures like this are necessary in no small part due to his and his peers’ greed.
There’s another solution that doesn’t involve socialism, but they are forcing it upon us by their own actions. That’s what’s ironic.
