I don’t think people appreciate how close any society is to a small extremist ideology taking over. Democracy and freedom are not inherent. They must be continuously defended to prevent small interest groups from corrupting the system and taking over control from within. It’s too early to tell his current political affiliation or motivation. The right is saying he was dating his trans roommate and pissed at Kirk’s anti-trans stance. The left is saying he was so far right that he believed Kirk was too liberal. Everything is speculation. The only people with thorough knowledge of his motives are the investigators.
