In all seriousness though I probably won’t be deleting my stuff either. Less than a month ago someone replied to a message of mine that was years old and they said they found it when googling. I don’t want to ruin someone’s day when they try to find something to answer their questions.

Your “off-topic” sounded pretty cool to me! I love that that is something anyone can do when hosting a lemmy instance. You get to choose if it’s searchable on the web! Obviously there are search engines which ignore the no scraping/indexing header, but the rest of what you did should counteract that, noice.

Tldr it’s probably still a good OS, but there’s some things about the dev that are off putting.
