Kinda looks like kbin
Kinda looks like kbin
@keenworld I agree. They started with email a decade ago and even though it was unfinished they tacked on calendar, storage, vpn and so on. I would have wished that they finish one thing before starting another.
My biggest gripe is that they are incredibly distracting to use while driving. The safety implications are huge. I hate on-screen buttons. On top of that most are poorly coded and run slowly.
That’s a rounding error on their P&L
@rideranton Fantastic news, thank you very much for your work!
@ArtVandelay Logic is not what got them into this situation, logic is not what will get them out of it
Using Spotify Family and the pricing is fair. I love the Discover Weekly and Release Radar playlists. The auto-generated Made for are pretty good too. I absolutely HATE the Apple Watch app. It’s buggy as hell. Whoever is managing that project should be fired. @prwnr
Personally, I created two communities here that I frequented on /r, /m/Amex and /m/Signal because I wanted to help build kbin up overall, and give a home to those that migrated. Full disclosure, I will eventually step back from moderating once those communities grow and become self-sufficient with additional moderators joining in.
There is an app, check out https://kbin.social/m/ArtemisApp

And here is the The Unofficial Signal Messenger Community on the fediverse: link
Or a lot more confused as today you can simply say kbin and tomorrow you have to specify which one.
Yes, big time. It feels almost as if half of the comments are bots, propping up spez and crapping on the mods who supported the blackout. Unfortunately, there are still a few subreddits that have no equivalent here just yet and I end up having to revisit reddit to get the info I need on an ongoing basis. I started two communities (Signal Messenger and Amex) here myself in an effort to help with transition but so far there hasn’t been much happening on that front. I even went as far as messaging the mods on the /r/ equivalents but none of them wanted to move over, or even give it a shot as a subscriber. Nevertheless, I am not giving up and still feel there is growth to be had. Perhaps once the apps die off on reddit, we will see additional users transitioning.
I was just saying to my spouse this morning how it seems that the smart people have left reddit as there is a discernible drop in the comment quality in some of the communities I frequent. Unfortunately they haven’t even been registered here just yet. I am quitting reddit in a week anyway hopefully by then more of those communities will migrate here. I created two (Signal, Amex), hope others will follow suit.
@Mirror_I_rorrIMG kbin and lemmy are two different clients (imagine Outlook or Apple Mail) for the same service (the threadiverse, or email in the prior example). Pick one, they federate with each other (cross-pollinate).
I submit that oxygen is even worse. Everyone that has ever been know to ingest it, has eventually died.
@dan This will probably be the solution: https://codeberg.org/Kbin/kbin-core/pulls/357
@ernest please see above in regards to app support
@brunofin Wow this is app #6 now that pops up, added yours to the list in my thread: https://kbin.social/m/kbinMeta/t/35655/Several-iOS-apps-for-kbin-lemmy-are-now-in-development
Truly a mystery
