  • I have gone through a similar thing. I cannot run due to being old and having really bad knees. I can, however, walk a lot, which is something I enjoy very very much. I recently hurt my foot and really can’t walk for the time being beyond just day to day stuff…no five mile walks for the foreseeable future.

I’d recommend finding new exercises that don’t aggravate your knee for now. My foot injury has got me back into lifting weights (nothing crazy, more reps than massive weight) and having a new situp / pushup routine every morning. I’ve been enjoying my newly acquired extra upper body strength.

Sorry about your knee. I hope you have a fast recovery

I’m not autistic but stumbled on this post. I don’t exactly see myself as an introvert but I require more time to myself than most people to feel whole. I got divorced after 15 years and my now partner of three years has learned to respect my need for alone time. We spend 3 days together on average and I really like the balance.

  • Me. I’m finding that the content here is better at the moment. It was a bit of a challenge at first, and I kept going back to reddit. Last week I decided to delete the reddit app (not my account) for one week to force more engagement with Lemmy and I’m happy so far. I’m missing some of the bigger subs, like the NBA sub and more subs local to my home city, but overall I’m happy. I’m going to probably have to install reddit again for those subs I mentioned, but think I’ll be defaulting to Lemmy for general use
