askgaming@piefed.social•What’s that game that makes you stare at your PC or console and think, yeah… it’s time for an upgrade. Or the one that actually pushed you over the edge and made you do it?English
1·1 month agoI’m happy with my laptop with integrated graphics currently. One game i wanted to try but couldnt run was X4. I liked X series space sims as a kid.
I use whatever the support channel for an opensource project is whether it’s irc, matrix or discord. Most often my distro’s irc channel. Apart from that ##music on liberachat is nice. But I never really got into chit-chatting with people on irc.
thanks, fixed. When I added both the link and the image to a post, the image changed the link to itself.
Thanks, I didn’t know about that. The “Most Recent Visit” column is useful

1·6 months agoWhat’s this format better at compared to mp4/h264? I know mkv is used for movies, but why?
I just can’t be fucked. I have win10 on my laptop that I boot once a month to run some windows programs but other then that I don’t care about it. The only reason I see myself upgrading is to maybe know how to help my relatives with their windows 11 problems.

Linux Gaming@lemmy.world•Do you know any way to do gamma correction for games that don't have it?English
3·8 months agoCool, this was easy to install. I don’t see “Rando” menu option however, menu is same as before
upd: thank you for help on discord, it worked! Needed to use windows installer via wine. This is a better solution than sledgehammering the whole desktop brightness

1·8 months agoI maxed what I can but still too dark. I mean maybe what I want is going to break the “intended look” of different games, but I don’t want them to be physically painful for me to play.

Discord@lemmy.world•Possible to share screen with audio on wayland?English
2·10 months agoI went with Vesktop in the end, thanks for the suggestion! I tested official client some more but sometimes the audio input disappeared when I routed my game to it and never reappeared until I restarted the client. With Vesktop this doesn’t happen. Also you can select audio sources in GUI that’s nice.
