I mean, yeah. He’s not a programmer lol he’s a businessman. Most CEOs don’t actually do anything.

Yes, because there aren’t really going to be any more doctors that aren’t using AI. AI is widespread and unavoidable. It’s definitely unfortunate but it’s true.
I have literally seen walk-in doctors have ChatGPT on their screen, they are literally using it to look up symptoms too.

I give old . reddit a year or two before they remove it.

For real, I was always worried about my back instead because my high school math teacher said don’t mess with your back (or you’ll end up sleeping on the floor).

Managers would never fire themselves, though.

That would be kind of hilarious lmao
I’m at 9 years myself, I use Ubuntu on desktop, Mint on my home ThinkPad, Ubuntu on my work ThinkPad, and a mix of Debian/Proxmox and Ubuntu for my servers. I’m hoping to switch my desktop to Mint at some point.

Sounds like my blogs lol

Looks like we’re going to need a new decentralized platform.
Or just a platform without people, because people suck.

Xbox Series S is also great for modding too. Wii U is nice for modding too IMO.
I’m a millennial too and tbh I’ve done the gen z stare, sometimes there are just things that dumbfound you.
Nobody is always going to have the answer to everything and be immediately quick on their feet at all times.

It’s a slippery slope, I can’t imagine organizations won’t want more and more control over the public.

Not yet, it doesn’t. We’ll see how far we go down this hole.

It’s the enshitification, along with everything else.

I feel like the only way we can do anything about this is for us to have more money than the companies pushing for these changes, which is obviously not going to be possible… I’m not sure what else can be done.

The problem is the laws getting passed, not with software that gives people a choice about whether to comply.
Is it going to give a choice, though? As more and more of these laws are passed, soon people will have no choice. Open-source software was supposed to be about freedom, and I see this as anything but that.
How is this a theory? This is literally what’s happening lol
Even if it’s not advertising itself pushing it, the rest of what was said is true.

If I had to guess, it’s probably because most gamers aren’t programmers.

He removed the authorship specifically because he was attacked for using AI.
People were already going after him for using AI.
I have no problem with him using AI personally, because I trust that he is a competent enough dev if he has built and maintained this program thus far. If you don’t trust him specifically because he’s using AI now, and you don’t trust him to review the code the AI produces, then that’s your choice.
This is a person who fairly regularly gets punched out on stream. I genuinely think he doesn’t have the mental capacity to change from this 6 month sentence, possibly even before he started getting punched out.
