That ground looks so satisfying to dig in. Like it would actually yield to a shovel. I’ve spent my entire life in Southern California and our ground is hard, dry, and filled with rocks.

This feels like a French thing that I’ve never been exposed to. I’m now curious about this from many nations. What is the everyday lunch that is not the globally recognized stereotype national dish? As an American I feel like it would be something lame like peanut butter & jelly.
I had the same reaction and had to dig deeper.
Turns out this is a rodeo event called Swine/Hog/Pig “Showmanship.” The competitors are making eye contact with a judge, waiting for signals and to know when they’re paying attention to their animal so they’re can rotate them. They’re tapping the pigs both to steer them (always keeping the pigs between themselves and the judge), and to keep the pigs head pointed upwards. They’re trying to show their control over the animal as well as give the judge views of all sides of them, so different aspects can be assessed.
I’m not saying that it’s not irresponsible to grow to the size that they have, but I don’t think people understand the staggering difference in the size of the development teams between GTA and Hollow Knight.
MobyGames lists 4,771 people in the credits for GTA V and just 85 for Hollow Knight. Honestly most of those on Hollow Knight are translators and testers, people who weren’t working the full length of development time.
As a reminder, 99.9% of the cost of a game is number of staff * salary * time.

I came here to post it. S2 is such a letdown in comparison. I skip most Anime intros because they’re usually way too long and usually boring. DDD S1 gets me hype every damn time.
The very first person to write was doing so with the intent of it being read. They didn’t make marks that they didn’t understand and then later discover their meaning. Writing makes no sense without reading. These two things happened in unison, one does not predate the other.

And that Nintendo made the decision to not censor it because they were still reeling from being vastly outsold by Sega two console generations earlier on the original release of Mortal Kombat because they censored the blood and fatalities.

A student spiked a teacher’s drink with acid. The morning of that day, the kid that got arrested told me he wanted to fight me after school for talking to a girl he liked.

To be a shanda for the goyim is to confirm the most hurtful stereotypes, thereby doing damage twice: a Jew who dishonors Jews by not only doing something bad, but doing something that confirms the worst fears of others about Jews in general.
