Wasn’t there a movie where a girl found a turtle with a scar and, much later, it got HUGE?
Nobody commenting because of the 5th?

Not sure if it helps but my ebook helped me kick the doom scrolling habit. Kobo is a good brand that works with my library card.
So basically replace infinite something with a similar medium that helps you accomplish something

Wasn’t that a game too?

Totally agree!

But also … Lies, damned lies, and statistics

Required reading for a course I took https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trust_in_Numbers
Basically, it’s difficult to make numbers tell the truth, but somehow people really trust things that are quantifiable, and it’s totally unwarranted.

The community gets split several ways, which is frustrating considering how we depend on each other. When you choose any of the other 9 available radio settings you are in an entirely different effective community. https://meshtastic.org/docs/overview/radio-settings/ Default is long-fast, but I think when I was in the Bay area last, Medium-Fast had the most nodes. https://bayme.sh/
That’s just Meshtastic.
If you want to play around with meshcore you need to flash your device differently or have more hardware. Meshcore feels more solid, tools helping you link. If you want to tinker with how far you can get a signal or research how best to improve infrastructure, meshcore is great. I particularly like the direct ping tool and the coverage estimation based on elevation maps.
Haven’t tried Reticulum but I think it might be the most practical if you actually need data.
TL;DR - if lemmy and ingress had a child

Ingress? It’s more an AR game. Gets you out. Pokemon go.

The real hero. Thanks!
“One of the insights of the Victorian Revival was that it was not necessarily a good thing for everyone to read a completely different newspaper in the morning; so the higher one rose in the society, the more similar one’s Times became to one’s peers’.”

Lovers in Dangerous space time and Pico Park come to mind. Sort of couch co-op vibes but can be online.
Then straight back to Mint! Full circle, bell curve meme style.
Ship of zeno’s paradox? 😆

Second the Yoto. Turnkey. The cards are a bit clunky, it’s not a voice activated radio, more like a smart speaker pretending to be a cassette player
Didjeetyet?
